Nordicular OY developed the MenoZone as a free application featuring non-personalized advertisements for distribution through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This Service is provided by Nordicular OY at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users about our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for individuals who choose to use our Service.
The MenoZone is designed specifically for women aged 40 and above to support their wellness journey by tracking daily steps, physical activity, and sleep patterns, and by presenting clear, personalized graphs and visualizations based on this information. Users may optionally connect a third-party smartwatch or wearable device to enhance data accuracy. An optional one-time in-app purchase is available to remove advertisements permanently. Access to the App requires login with an email address or Google account.
By choosing to use our Service (including logging in), you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. Any personal information we collect is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We do not use or share your information with anyone except as described herein.

Information Collection and Use
To provide an optimal user experience and secure access, the App requires login with an email address or Google account. We may request certain personally identifiable information (login credentials) or access to specific device sensors. Any information we request or automatically collect will be retained and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following categories of data:

Fitness and health data
This includes steps, physical movement/activity, sleep duration, and sleep quality. Such data is obtained directly from your device’s built-in sensors or from an optionally connected third-party smartwatch or wearable. All sensitive health data is processed and stored exclusively on your device. No sensitive health data is transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party. -
Non-sensitive technical and usage data (including login-related data)
This may include anonymized interaction patterns, device type, basic user preferences, and login identifiers (email address or Google account ID). This limited information is stored on our secure servers (located in the European Union/EEA) to enable secure access, maintain account settings, support purchase restoration, and provide basic synchronization features (e.g., preferences across devices). -
Coarse location data
We may request general region or country-level location information exclusively to ensure correct calendar formatting (e.g., determining whether the week begins on Monday or Sunday). We do not collect precise GPS location, track movements, or use location data for advertising or analytics.
The app displays Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) only. These advertisements do not use personal data, health data, or browsing history for targeting.
We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, AppCenter, or any comparable third-party analytics or tracking services.
The app may use third-party services (such as smartwatch manufacturer SDKs for optional wearable integration, Google sign-in for login, and ad networks for non-personalized advertisements) that may collect limited information used to identify your device in a non-personalized manner. Links to the privacy policies of these third-party providers are made available where applicable.
In-App Purchases
The app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase called “Ad-Free Forever” (€9.99 or equivalent in local currency) to permanently remove non-personalized advertisements. Purchases are processed securely through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) using their respective in-app billing systems. We do not collect, store, or process payment details, card information, or any additional personal data for this purpose beyond what's required by the platform for receipt validation (handled locally on your device where possible and linked to your logged-in account for restoration).
Transaction data (e.g., purchase receipts) is subject to Apple’s or Google’s privacy policies (available in their respective stores). Purchasing the ad-free upgrade does not alter our data collection practices — sensitive health data remains on-device, advertisements remain non-personalized (and are removed post-purchase), and we continue to avoid any personalized targeting or tracking.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your information based on the following lawful bases (primarily under EU GDPR, where applicable):
- Your explicit consent: When you grant permissions for device sensors (e.g., motion/activity for fitness data) or optional features like watch integration. You can withdraw consent at any time by revoking permissions in your device settings.
- Legitimate interests: For essential app functionality and security, such as requiring login for access (to ensure secure, personalized wellness tracking), using coarse location solely for regional calendar display (with minimal impact on privacy), and storing limited non-sensitive data for account continuity and purchase restoration. We have balanced these interests against your rights and freedoms.
- Contract/performance of service: Processing login data and limited non-sensitive information to provide access to the Service, synchronization, settings persistence, or in-app purchase features.
